OUTBREAK
A viral outbreak triggered by a lab accident.
Project Summary
"Outbreak" is a short film that follows Scott, a PhD lab technician, as an accidental chemical addition causes virus cells to rapidly and uncontrollably divide, leading to a viral outbreak.

This project was my first attempt at creating a short animated film from scratch for my Animation I class at the SMFA at Tufts. We were tasked with developing a narrative and engaging with the entire animation process, from storyboarding and character design to SFX and VFX.

Typically, I create peaceful slice-of-life scenes, but for this project, I aimed to create a thriller. I meticulously outlined storyboards to capture the narrative, adjusted shots to guide the audience, and built tension gradually. Completing this film was an incredible creative endeavor, allowing me to engage with my artistic process, understand my workflow, and bring an idea to life.
